OUR STORY

We have spent decades investing in what really lasts, people! Our story begins in the same hospital as newborns arriving hours apart from each other. Sounds crazy right? It only gets better as we finally meet at sixteen and end up getting married at 24, just three weeks before Brian starts his firstday of medical school. During those long years of med school and residency, our family starts with three kids in three years, whew! We then settled in our hometown to begin the medical practice and expand our family with three more kids. So think of Mike and Carol Brady and the Brady Bunch, except it wasn’t blended it was truly the Sims Bunch.

So strong families really matter to us. That strong connection didn’t happen magically. It took laying out goals, strategies, action and of course lots of genuine love for each other. Since family is so important to us, we want to be in it for the long haul. With backgrounds in medicine and nutrition, we have become invested in our own health and concerned for the health of our nation.

Many years ago we spent a weekend alone together asking two questions. Why did God put us together and what was our purpose as a couple? The answer to both of those was loving people through hospitality.

So, there is our beginning but here’s where we are now. Our six children are all out of college, some are married and sweet grandchildren are filling new spaces on our family tree. It's truly a very rewarding time in life where our years of hard work is paying us back in pieces of gold. Yet, we feel this innate need to pass on some of our years of wisdom and life experiences so others coming along the path of life behind us can navigate their trails a little easier. Here’s to grabbing your hand and inviting you to join us as we do some looking back. and some gazing ahead, yet never missing the very moments we are in.
